Villa Martires and the Garden Cottage can be rented separately. If one house is rented, then the other is not, ie complete exclusivity and no sharing with other guests.
Perched high up by the castle, the Villa Martires estate presides over Trujillo’s skyline. Set in formal landscaped gardens, the property overlooks spectacular 180 degree views of the countryside towards Portugal and the Gredos mountains. Few views in Spain are as glorious.
The villa is luxurious with vast interiors and original features worthy of the town that was once home to the Conquistadors. The elegant Garden Cottage provides additional sleeping quarters or can be rented on its own. The sunsets are a glory, the sophisticated gardens glow with citrus trees, succulents and flowers and the terraces roll down to the cliff edge overlooking the view. There are several outside seating areas including a charming gardenia lined summer dining room, a stunning Roman style swimming pool with sun loungers and a tennis court to keep fit. The perfect retreat for a truly unforgettable holiday. The villa is fully airconditioned and comes with private off-street parking.
Having been a military stronghold in Roman times, Villa Martires and the Garden Cottage look directly on to Trujillo's Castle, recently used in Season 7 of Game of Thrones as Casterly Rock – the Lannisters’ ancestral home. Trujillo Castle was also used in the Season 7 finale, for when Daeneyrus’ combined armies arrive at King’s Landing and the Lannister army prepares to defend King’s Landing against the combined Unsullied and Dothraki.
The breathtaking unspoilt views of the dehesa plains surrounding the property is beautiful and captivating. This isn’t CGI!
